Depth and value to the fore as Magic Millions Digital Sale opens
A strong and diverse catalogue ranging from Group performers to impeccably bred unraced prospects and broodmares with foals at foot headlines the latest Magic Millions Digital Sale, which runs from January 2 to 7, with bidding now open online.
The sale comprises 76 Lots, including 50 offered unreserved, providing a significant boost in opportunity and value for buyers.
Among the 32 racehorses catalogued are three Newgate entries led by Group-placed three-year-old gelding Quietly Arrogant, alongside Sunlight’s unraced three-year-old brother Lyon and unraced Extreme Choice colt Tellurium, while Star Thoroughbreds has entered metropolitan-placed Mannerheim.
Arrowfield is represented by Highway and Country Cups performer Rematch, while other notable entries include Blueblood Thoroughbreds’ Group Three winner Kaizad and the consistent Trapeze Legend, a three-time winner from eight starts.
The race fillies and mares section features 23 Lots, highlighted by four metropolitan-winning prospects from Peters Investments, including multiple black-type placed Savabeel mare Twilight Tale, a daughter of Group 1 winner Dreamaway.
Multiple Sydney metropolitan winner Gold Pattern is also among the offerings, with the mare boasting a pedigree that includes a half-sister to crack sprinter Hay List.
Buyers seeking shares in proven racehorses are well catered for with offerings including Archibald Racing’s in-form Anarita, Peter Snowden-trained Lord Mayors Cup winner Touristic (Frankel), and last-start winner Jimmy’s Brother from the David Vandyke stable.
Further interest is expected in a share of Tony Gollan-trained John Rambo, who holds an entry for next week’s $1.5 million Racing Queensland Magic Millions QTIS Open at the Gold Coast.
The catalogue also includes four unbroken Lots by sires such as Farnan and Frosted, along with 11 broodmares, including Headway mare Helford River, in foal to Better Than Ready, and Ivy Blue, a half-sister to Spright and in foal to Cool Aza Beel.
Bidding is open now and will begin to close from 12pm (AEST) on Wednesday, with the full catalogue available to view online.
