Todd Pollard joins Brisbane training ranks

Respected assistant Todd Pollard will commence his own training career after applying for a licence to launch an eponymously named stable.

Pollard will be based at Eagle Farm, where boxes will be available from February 2026 at a facility he knows well.

He will operate as Todd Pollard Racing after departing Archibald Racing, where he has worked for the past five years and has led the Queensland operation for more than three-and-a-half years.

During his time as assistant trainer, Pollard worked closely with Group 1 winners Mo’unga, Zaaki, Bois d’Argent and Sunshine In Paris, as well as a number of other stakes performers.

“This has been a long-term ambition of mine, and I have worked hard to reach this point,” Pollard said.

Pollard is building his stable ahead of February’s launch and will attend major yearling sales.

Hannah Gregory has been appointed as the new assistant trainer for Archibald Racing in Queensland.
