Coolmore-owned filly wins on debut amid Lindsay Park bushfire recovery

The Lindsay Park stable, impacted by last week’s bushfires in Victoria, celebrated a bright moment as Home Affairs filly Jacaranda won her debut at Seymour by six lengths.

Jacaranda was purchased for $300,000 at the Inglis Easter sale by Tom Magnier from the Vinery Stud draft.

The filly is a half-sister to dual Group I winner Artorius, winner of the Blue Diamond Stakes, and three-year-old Group winner Sixties.

Jacaranda was bred by Greg Perry and is the sixth winner from six foals to race from Redoute’s Choice mare Gracie’s Lass.

Vinery Stud offered a colt from Gracie’s Lass by Pinatubo at Magic Millions this week, purchased by Anthony Freedman Racing/Julian Blaxland Bloodstock for $120,000.

Jacaranda is the fourth winner sired by Home Affairs, joining Group II winner Kinnaird, stakes-placed Harvey Wallbanger, and promising colt Guest House.
