Seymour meeting moved to align with bushfire fundraiser

The Seymour meeting set down for Sunday February 15 has been moved five days later to align with an on-course fundraising event aimed at supporting bushfire-affected communities and honouring first responders.

The move is designed to maximise fundraising opportunities for those who played a vital role in protecting lives, property, livestock, and the racing industry during the recent bushfires, which impacted areas north and east of Seymour.

RV and Country Racing Victoria have praised the extraordinary efforts of volunteers and emergency services who worked tirelessly under challenging conditions.

The Seymour meeting will run alongside Terang and Cranbourne (night) on the same day, with race distances and prizemoney unchanged.

Official trials set for February 16 will be relocated, and track renovations will commence after the February 20 meeting.
