Smooth Chino secures Quokka slot after unbeaten rise

Unbeaten sprinter Smooth Chino has secured a start in the $5 million Quokka after being selected to represent the Unibet slot.

The Indianna Weinert-trained gelding will line up in the April 18 feature in partnership with Unibet and Chief Racing following a rapid progression through the West Australian sprint ranks.

Smooth Chino has won all six of his starts, including victories in the Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy and the Listed Black Heart Bart Stakes.

The four-year-old has emerged as one of the state’s most exciting speed horses and will now be given the chance to test himself against interstate and local rivals in WA’s richest race.
