Kingstar Farm’s decision to take a punt on a well-bred Written Tycoon filly and send her to Kembla Grange trainer Mitch Beer has paid dividends as Eagerly Awaits broke her maiden in style at Moruya.
Sporting the green and purple colours of Kingstar owner Matthew Sandblom’s Hollymount Stud, Eagerly Awaits justified her short quote, swooping wide and winning over 1020 metres on the heavy track by one and a quarter lengths.
Terrific result first up for the stable & her new owners Hollymount Stud.

Eagerly Awaits a daughter of Written Tycoon out of a full sister to Extreme Choice now a winner! pic.twitter.com/DFz8x0RuTA
Originally a $200,000 buy for Ladbrokes Racing Club at last year’s Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, she was twice placed for those owners in South Australia when trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr.
She was offered as part of that owners’ dispersal at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale, where she sold for $60,000. The filly carried considerable residual value as he is out of Mightily, a sister to Newgate’s record-breaking sire Extreme Choice.
