Beirne backing new bookie Bet Legends

Bookmaking industry identity Shaun Beirne, the nephew of former leading Sydney rails oddsmaker Dominic Beirne, has opening his own online betting shop.

Beirne, who formerly worked in the trading team for Tabcorp and its short-lived online corporate bookmaker alternative Luxbet, has launched Bet Legends, adding to the more than 100 Australian bookies taking bets online.

Bet Legends is licensed in Victoria, with Beirne promising to bring “a new edge back to traditional bookmaking”. Bet Legends is using the BetMakers backend trading technology and website and app development.

Beirne has also previously been affiliated with Betfair and had a tipping service.
