Jim Roberts is retiring as the Brisbane Racing Club's Director of Racecourses after nearly 38 years involved in track management across Doomben and Eagle Farm.

Having begun his career in 1987, Roberts became Doomben's racecourse manager in 2010 before eventually taking oversight of both tracks.

Among the champions to have graced the BRC turf in Roberts’ tine have been Might And Power, Black Caviar and Winx.

“The BRC sincerely thanks Jim for his tireless efforts over the past 38 years and wish him a very lengthy and healthy retirement,” the BRC said in a statement.
