Talented heavyweight jockey Campbell Rawiller will make a return to the saddle after a short-lived retirement.
In a stop-start career as a jockey, Rawiller called it quits after riding at Kyneton on April 10 having mixed his time as a flat and jumps jockey as well as spending a period training greyhounds.
However, Rawiller announced via social media that he was embarking on another comeback to race riding.
"At the time, stepping away felt right," Rawiller posted on social media.
"It gave me a much-needed release from the pressure and stress of weight management and the expectations that come with race riding.
"Since then, I've taken all the pressure off and allowed myself to reset. Thankfully, my body has now settled at a far more sustainable riding weight, which has added fuel to the spark I was struggling to put out.
"I'm stepping into this next chapter with a fresh mindset and a renewed passion for my dream job."
As the winner of 193 races, he is the son of top Sydney-based jockey Nash Rawiller, who rode Private Eye to win the Group 2 PB Lawrence Stakes at Caulfield last Saturday, and nephew of fellow Group 1 winning jockey Brad Rawiller.
