Bloodstock agent James Harron has secured emerging sprinter Angel Capital as his slot runner for the $20 million The Everest.

Harron confirmed Angel Capital would be his 2025 representative after completing a deal with the Yulong team behind the four-year-old.
Angel Capital’s inclusion ends speculation that Yulong could have considered the four-time stakes winner for its slot at the expense of Private Harry.
Private Harry has been locked in for a start since Yulong bought into the son of Harry Angel following a breakthrough Group 1 win in The Galaxy during the Sydney autumn carnival.
In his only start since that victory, Private Harry was rated a disappointment when unplaced in The Shorts at Randwick last Saturday.
Angel Capital has worked his way into The Everest picture after two starts of a spring campaign that started impressively under new trainer Chris Waller when a last-to-first winner of the Listed Chautauqua Stakes.
The entire was then rated the unlucky runner when a fast-finishing fourth in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.
“Angel Capital looks to have gone to another level this preparation,” Harron said.
“We’re honoured to partner with Yulong and this hugely exciting horse - he very much looks as though he will be ideally suited to what is shaping up to be a very high-pressure Everest this year."
Yulong chief operating officer Sam Fairgray said Waller, who already has Lady Shenandoah and Joliestar safely into the field, was more than happy to push Angel Capital’s case for a slot.
“We’re delighted to partner with James and his owners to tackle The Everest with Angel Capital,” Fairgray said.
“It’s a hugely exciting opportunity for this colt and one Chris Waller has been very keen to pursue.
“Angel Capital is a colt on an upward trajectory this season and Mr Zhang (Yuesheng) and the Yulong team are thrilled he has the chance to spread his wings in the world’s richest turf race.”

Yulong purchased Angel Capital out of the Clinton McDonald stable following a Group 2 win in the Autumn Stakes at Caulfield in February.
A nominal favourite for the Australian Guineas, Angel Capital missed that race before his transfer to Waller.
Harron has twice figured as a winning The Everest slot holder.
He teamed up with Triple Crown Syndications to claim the inaugural running with Redzel in 2017 before making one of the more inspired choices in the race’s short history.
Harron landed on lightly raced Melbourne sprinter Giga Kick as his pick in 2022 and the three-year-old upset his older and more experienced rivals with a devastating final furlong sprint.
Yulong has also been a successful slot holder after selecting Redzel in the Sydney-trained speedster’s second win in 2018.
Angel Capital’s place in the 12-horse field leaves four slots vacant for the race at Randwick on October 18.
