Coolmore has confirmed that four-time Group 1 winner Paddington will shuttle to Windsor Park in New Zealand in 2024 and not the global giant’s Australian base in the Hunter Valley.

Coolmore Australia principal Tom Magnier revealed in an interview with Ladbrokes that the son of Siyouni, a winner of the Irish 2000 Guineas, the Eclipse Stakes, the Sussex Stakes and St James Palace Stakes in 2023, will be on the roster in New Zealand in a massive boost for the Kiwi breeding industry.

“We thought long and hard about Paddington and how to give him the best possible start and we knew that the team at Windsor Park will be the people to do that,” Magnier said.

“Their success is top level and they will really suit this kind of horse. I firmly believe this is the best horse that has gone to New Zealand that I have ever seen.”
