A quartet of Coolmore sires, including Wootton Bassett, the highest-priced stallion to stand in Australian history, have arrived ahead of the 2025 breeding season.

Coolmore confirmed on Tuesday that Wootton Bassett, City Of Troy and St Mark’s Basilica as well as Storm Boy are all in Australia and will undergo quarantine before the breeding season.
All four are expected to be centre stage at the upcoming stallion parades at Coolmore’s Jerrys Plains property in late August.

Wootton Bassett has made a huge impression with his first crop conceived from Coolmore in Ireland, which has already featured five Group 1 winners among 17 stakes winners.
His first crop in Australia has produced 10 winners while his stock has been in fierce demand at the yearling sales, selling up to $1.7 million.
Coolmore has brought him back for a fifth season in Australia at a fee of $385,000.
City Of Troy, a four-time Group 1-winning son of Justify, will stand at $49,500 in his first season, while Storm Boy, another son of the Triple Crown winner, debuts at $16,500.
St Mark’s Basilica’s first Australian crop hits the track in the new season. He has four winners from his first crop in Ireland and stands at $38,500 in the Hunter Valley this spring,
