Cup and Five Diamonds runners up for grabs via Inglis Digital
Bidding is heating up to acquire shares in two Melbourne Cup runners and a Five Diamonds contender via Inglis Digital’s bespoke Spring Carnival Sale.
With the auction countdown closing at 4pm on Wednesday, the Harry Charlton-trained Wine Dark Sea has set the early pace with buyers – just as he did in the Caulfield Cup – with 2.5 per cent share reaching $30,000-plus each.
The five-year-old (to southern hemisphere time) won the Group 3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury prior to entering quarantine for his Melbourne Cup mission.
There are three 2.5 per cent share and two 1 per cent shares being auctioned in the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained veteran stayer Vauban who has ran in the past three Melbourne Cups via the Inglis online sale and a 2.5 per cent share in the Tony Gollan-trained Brindavan is also on offer.
Also a European import, the First Light Racing-syndicated Brindavan won at Eagle Farm last Saturday, his fourth win in Queensland, with the gelding set to run on Saturday week’s $2 million Five Diamonds at Rosehill.
