Group 1-winning jockey Daniel Moor is on the move.

Moor, who has ridden in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Mauritius, will be making Queensland home in an early-season move from Victoria in search of more opportunities.

The 40-year-old sought advice from well-travelled jockeys Michael Rodd and Luke Currie before deciding to head north.

Moor will continue his association with promising young stayer Thedoctoroflove at Moonee Valley on Saturday before relocating.

He has ridden more than 1100 winners, with his four Group 1 victories coming in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (Sierra Sue), Wild Ruler (Moir Stakes), Manikato Stakes (Jonker) and Australasian Oaks (Glint Of Hope).
