Darren Falvey joins Racing Queensland executive team

Darren Falvey has been appointed general manager of commercial operations at Racing Queensland, taking up the role as the state’s racing controlling body continues to focus on revenue growth and industry engagement.

Falbey confirmed his move via a social media post, saying racing had “always played a big part in my life” and he was looking forward to contributing to the Queensland thoroughbred industry.

“I’m excited to commence this new role and to be able to play a part in the continued growth and success of racing in this state,” Falvey said.

Falvey joins Racing Queensland after an extensive career with News Corp Australia, where he worked across a range of commercial and media roles, including with InForm, which helped facilitate his move into the racing and wagering sector.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities and support I received at News Corp and extremely excited for what lies ahead,” Falvey said.
