Decision Maker tops Magic Millions Digital at $27,500 as syndicate targets WA country cups
Perth galloper Decision Maker topped the latest Magic Millions Digital sale selling to Mark Evans for $27,500 after 27 bids.
His new owners plan a country cups campaign in northern Western Australia.
Parnham Racing offered the five-year-old Playing God gelding as Lot 5. He has earned almost $140,000, has won over 1600 and 1650 metres, and was third at Belmont over 2100 metres two starts back. Trainer Neville Parnham said the gelding sold for twice his reserve.
“Our syndicate (Thursday Rump Syndicate) will aim him at some Cup races up north and have some fun,” said Evans, who was buying through the platform for the first time.
Magic Millions reported an 84 per cent clearance for racehorses, and every race filly and race mare offered found a buyer. The catalogue had been offered largely without reserve.
Girls On Fire, a multiple city-winning Western Australian mare, made $15,000 and Seastic made $14,000, each after 36 bids. Philippines-based buyer Cesar Avila Jr paid $11,000 for Farcolo, offered by Gary Portelli’s stable.
Entries for the November 6–11 sale close at midnight on November 4.
