Australian syndicator OTI Racing’s Docklands is shaping as a forgotten horse in Group 1 Sussex Stakes.

Docklands will face six rivals in one of the highlight races of Glorious Goodwood that will be run on Wednesday night (AEST).

A starter in last year’s Cox Plate, Docklands goes into the Sussex as one of the outsiders despite winning the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot at his most recent start.

Leading UK jockey Tom Marquand takes over from Queen Anne-winning jockey Mark Zahra at Goodwood.

Creating further Australian interest in the Sussex will be the appearance of well-performed US miler Carl Spackler, who will be having his second start for Yulong and trainer Ciaron Maher after contesting the Sussex.

Richly talented three-year-old Field Of Gold is an odds-on favourite to win the Sussex.

Field Of Gold will take on older horses as he bids to emulate his sire Kingman by completing the Irish 2000 Guineas, St James's Palace and Sussex Stakes treble.
