The executive change at the top of Entain’s global business rolls on with confirmation that Dafne Guisard has been appointed to the new role of chief operations officer.
Only two months after Australian-born Gavin Isaacs began in his role as Entain’s chief executive officer, he has confirmed that Chicago-based Guisard, currently the chief strategy, transformation and digital officer at The Kraft Heinz Company, would join the company in January.
“Dafne brings a wealth of experience in driving strategic growth and delivering transformation on a global scale,” Issacs said.
“Her appointment will help place Entain at the leading edge of innovation, as well as strengthen the executive management team as we build on a period of stronger-than-expected revenue growth and key market expansion. Dafne will be a tremendous asset to Entain.”
The new role will be focused on operational and strategic planning at Entain, which is the global parent company of Ladbrokes and Neds in Australia and is involved in a multi-year deal to operate TAB NZ.
Guisard has been at Kraft Heinz since 2022 and before spent nine years at Anheuser-Busch InBev in various leadership positions. She also spent eight years in management consulting and equities and co-founded a machine learning tech start-up.
Entain has undergone a major transition over the past 12 months, when CEO Jette Nygaard Andersen left the company, marking the end of a strategic expansion.
Under interim CEO Stella David, who is now the company’s chair, and now Issacs, Entain has been more focused on operational matters.
It reported much improved global growth in its most recent quarterly report, helped significantly by its BetMGM joint venture in the booming American market.
Entain’s FTSE share price has improved from a low of 502.6 GBX in August to 736 GBX on close on Thursday.
