Fast Track graduates celebrated
Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) has marked the graduation of its 2025–26 Fast Track cohort, celebrating 18 participants who have completed the industry’s flagship workforce development program.
More than 100 guests attended the ceremony, including representatives from host farms, TAFE NSW, industry stakeholders, as well as family and friends, to recognise the achievements of the graduates following a 12‑month program that combines paid employment on stud farms with structured training.
The cohort completed the Certificate III in Horse Breeding through TAFE NSW alongside extensive practical experience across broodmare management, foaling, yearling preparation, sales processes and daily stud operations.
This year’s graduates are Hannah Griffith, Lucy Smith, Lexi Thiele, Macey Cameron, Lucy Larcombe, Emma Lawson, Anna Gordon, Lola Gregory, Sienna Marzato, Touka Yoshida, Jessica Drovandi, Eliana Rogers, Chloe Green, Kayla Piotrowski, Christopher Purser, Tuscany Mellor, Clementine Benson and Bella Simms.
Aushorse director and Yarraman Park Stud principal Arthur Mitchell, who presented the certificates, said Fast Track had become a proven entry pathway into the breeding sector.
“Fast Track has been running for almost a decade and continues to do an outstanding job of bringing new people into the industry,” Mitchell said.
The incoming 2026–27 intake, which began on May 18, was also recognised, while applications for the Nolan Scholarship will open in September.
