Rosemont Stud’s Hanseatic took his total number of first-crop winners to five with the victory of the Tony and Calvin McEvoy-trained filly Audio Pop Cam at Pakenham.
Audio Pop Cam, who was retained by Rosemont after passing in through last year’s Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, impressed on debut to defeat Unassailable by 1-1/4 lengths.
She impressed jockey Jamie Melham, who jumped on the filly after her trio of jump out victories.
“They've got themselves a very talented little filly here,” Melham said. “She's obviously got talent, but her attitude and temperament will take her a long way."
“She was perfect out there today, first start for her.”
