Trainer David McColm’s move to the Gold Coast has ended The Kosciuszko defence of his star galloper Far Too Easy.
Racing NSW advised on Tuesday that McColm’s move across the border from Murwillumbah would mean the horse is no longer eligible for the $2 million race in October.
“This change of location will make Far Too Easy ineligible for the Kosciuszko as the horse will not be in the care of a NSW country trainer,” the Racing NSW statement said,
“All wagering operators are requested to remove Far Too Easy from the futures markets for the 2025 Kosciuszko.”
Far Too Easy, a winner of $2.4 million in prize money, has contested the past three editions of The Kosciuszko, finishing second in 2022 and third in 2023 before his victory last year.
