Darley’s Ghaiyyath doubled his total of first crop Australian winners in the space of one day with winners at Taree and Seymour on Friday.
The son of Dubawi, who won’t shuttle this spring, had his daughter Yum win the first race at Seymour, a 1400 metre maiden.
The half-sister to multiple winner and Tasmanian sale topper Bold Instinct was passed in as a yearling and retained by the Breese family to be trained by John McArdle. Friday was her third start in a race, having finished third in a recent Geelong maiden.
At Taree, Ghayoor was an upset winner on debut over 1262 metres for trainer Darren Treacy.
Ghaiyyath has only had 17 runners in Australia, with two winners before today.
Other stallions to have Friday doubles across Australia were Capitalist, his sire Written Tycoon and Bull Point.
