New Zealand’s champion two-year-old of last season, the Karaka Millions and Sistema Stakes winner Velocious, will be offered for sale via the Inglis Digital July (Late) Online Sale.

Syndicator Go Racing, who owns the Written Tycoon filly, and her New Zealand trainer Stephen Marsh have elected to put the valuable three-year-old on the market after her unplaced run during the Queensland Winter Carnival at Eagle Farm last month.
A winner of six of her 13 starts, of which three victories were at stakes level at two, Velocious is out of Snitzel mare Parmalove. She is also a half-sister to the stakes-placed Penvose Lad.
Go Racing’s Albert Bosma believes Velocious will make a beautiful broodmare.
“She’s a good size, one of the things that surprised a lot of people as a two-year-old was that she wasn’t a little thing, she’s a really good-sized mare, good length, correct, she moves well. In terms of a type she’s really got it all,’’ Bosma said.
“Anybody that looks at her is going to be very impressed with what they see. It’s a pedigree that continues to move and one we think will keep improving.”
Velocious will be available for inspection at Vinery Stud from Tuesday while the Inglis Digital July (Late) Sale will run from July 25 to 30.
