‘Greater depth’ in Magic Millions March catalogue
The Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale is being positioned to deliver greater depth in 2026, with a 490-strong catalogue released ahead of the March 12 and 13 auction on the Gold Coast.
The sale will adopt a new format this year with the introduction of non-QTIS yearlings aimed at broadening its appeal to interstate and international buyers.
A total of 94 stallions are represented, while incentives remain a key drawcard with QTIS eligibility and Magic Millions Race Series nomination savings continuing to apply.
The catalogue includes 268 QTIS fully paid or first-payment lots, alongside strong representation of BOBS and VOBIS-eligible yearlings, all of which can be paid up for the Magic Millions Race Series.
Queensland sires Better Than Ready and Spirit of Boom dominate the book, accounting for 56 and 26 lots respectively, underlining their ongoing commercial appeal.
They are supported by proven and emerging stallions including Capitalist, Maurice, Pierata, So You Think, The Autumn Sun, Zousain and a host of first and second-season sires.
Recent graduates such as Hidden Wealth, Encoder and the juvenile Itchintogo have reinforced the sale’s reputation for value and racetrack return, helping to sustain buyer confidence.
The Adelaide Yearling Sale catalogue is expected to be released in the coming days.
