Hore-Lacy began his new role in June and has been working with both the TBA and Aushorse boards on a refreshed structure for his team.

Packard, who was previously marketing manager at Newgate Farm, will fill the role as head of marketing and partnerships at TBA and Aushorse.

The newly created role is designed to manage sponsorships and partnerships and drive stakeholder engagement initiatives to “further elevate the visibility and influence of Australia’s thoroughbred breeding and racing industry”.

McGrath, who spent more than a decade in senior roles at the Victoria Racing Club, most recently as senior manager of community, social responsibility and equine welfare, comes on board as head of advocacy and communications.

The former Godolphin Flying Start graduate will lead advocacy, communications, stakeholder relations and equine welfare policy.

Respected financial executive Gemma Cameron will have an expanded role with TBA and Aushorse. Having previously worked as the accountant across both companies, she has now been appointed head of finance and administration.

“Her newly expanded portfolio includes the development, implementation, and management of finance operations, IT and office services, human resources, as well as governance and compliance,” a TBA/Aushorse statement said.

Madison Tims, who has led TBA’s education and workforce development since 2022, continues in the role of head of education and projects across TBA and Aushorse.

"These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for TBA and Aushorse,” Hore-Lacy said.

“Leanna, Meagan, Gemma and Madison each bring deep industry knowledge and a genuine passion for the work we do on behalf of breeders.

“With the guidance of our boards and the support of our members, we are well-positioned to strengthen our industry and advance the interests of Australian breeders both nationally and internationally."

The new roles will take effect on September 1.
