The colt by Yulong’s champion sire Written Tycoon and consigned by Hannover Lodge as agent, will be sold as Lot 65 during the auction at Inglis’ Riverside Stables complex in Sydney on October 15.

He is the fourth living foal of Yulong’s Pivotal mare Harlech, the dam of the 2021 ATC Australian Oaks and Vinery Stud Stakes winner Hungry Heart. He was purchased for $300,000 from the Yulong draft at this year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

This year’s Ready2Race catalogue is down on numbers with 196 lots entered, compared to 226 last year and 290 in 2022.

But Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch said the sale would not lack quality, with siblings to four Group 1 winners set to go under the hammer.

“This year’s catalogue is the strongest collection of two-year-olds that we have ever put together for this sale and they are being prepared by some of the most renowned horse people in Australia and New Zealand,” Hutch said.

“Buyers really will be spoilt for choice.

“We have been planning the make-up of this catalogue for the best part of the past 12 months, working with our vendors to identify suitable horses for this sale format and we’re extremely excited by the diversity and quality on offer.”

First-season sires to be represented include Anders, Bivouac, Cool Aza Beel, Dirty Work, Doubtland, Earthlight, Farnan, Ghaiyyath, Graff, Hanseatic, King’s Legacy, Lucky Vega, North Pacific, Ole Kirk, Peltzer, Tagaloa, Time To Reign and Wootton Bassett.
