Inglis has supersized the Australian Weanling Sale and will offer 574 foals over two days at Riverside in May, up over 25 per cent on the size of the 2024 catalogue.

The catalogue for the 2025 sale, to be held on May 5 and 6, features progeny of 107 stallions, with 59 separate vendors.

Inglis is looking to build on the success of the 2024 edition, where the aggregate surged 23 per cent to over $16 million, while the average jumped eight per cent.

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch feels the 2025 edition featured an increase in quality and quantity.  

“We are delighted with how the catalogue has come together, with the Dorrington Farm weanlings complimented by lots like the full brother to Too Darn Lizzie and support of the sale by the majority of major farms and consignors in Australia,”  he said.

“The volume of weanlings and the variety of stallions and vendors represented means that buyers will be able to achieve all of their objectives at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale in 2025.”

Inglis’ Australian Weanling Sale has finished with a gross of more than $16 million with an average of more than $55,000.

Among recent graduates of the sale are Group 1 winners Kimochi and Hayasugi, as well as recent stakes winner Field Of Play as well as Straight Charge, Master Fay, Brudenell, Coin Toss, Live To Tell, All That Pizzazz, Cardinal Gem and Strait Acer

“This sale has become an increasingly significant target for end users, which is understandable given the graduate success, and we look forward to welcoming buyers at all levels to Riverside for the sale,” Hutch said.

The 2025 catalogue features members of the first crops of Anamoe (4), Artorius (17), Best Of Bordeaux (8), Daumier (9), Hitotsu (10), In The Congo (13), Jacquinot (14), Paulele (2), Sejardan (8) and State Of Rest (16).

Tassort (29) is the most represented sire, ahead of Farnan (19), Acrobat (19) and Stay Inside (18).

Fairhill Farm has the biggest draft with 25, while Coolmore has 24 along with Alma Vale, whole there are four lots out of Group 1 winners, and three siblings to Group 1 winners.
