Rachel King marked her return to Japan with a trio of winners of the weekend, including an upset victory in the Grade 3 Nisai Stakes at Hakodate.
King’s new stint, which is sponsored by trainer Noriyuki Hori, will run until August 18. She had 15 rides over the two days at Hakodate, with two wins on Saturday and one on Sunday.
The English-born, Australian-based jockey won an allowance race on the Hori-trained Sakura Farrel on Saturday and then on the final race of the day aboard Magical Fairy.

A Shin Deed was a $49 outsider in the feature race but led from barrier to post to win by two lengths.
King now has 33 winners from her 280 rides in Japan.
