Trainers who win one of a select group of Victorian country races this spring will win a nomination to one of the five stallions standing at emerging stud farm Lovatsville.
The nominations to Melbourne Cup winner Gold Trip, Group 1-winning two-year-old Move To Strike, Royal Meeting, Fierce Impact and Generation will be open to Australian Trainers Association members who can either use the nomination themselves or "monetise" it among their client base.
It is the second year that Lovatsville, which is run by Sam White at Seymour Park, has run the competition.
"It is a challenging time for all businesses, in all industries, with the rise in costs leaving their mark," White said.
"We hope that our support of the trainers, who are often at the coalface of expense in caring for the horse, helps ease the financial pressures that we know a number of them are facing.”
