James McDonald is among four riders to have been granted short-term licenses to ride in Hong Kong this season.
The Australian-based and New Zealand-born champion jockey will be licensed to ride from November 12 to December 23 in Hong Kong.
That will mean he will be available to partner Romantic Warrior on his return to racing on November 23 as well as ride during both the International Jockeys' Championship on December 10 and the Hong Kong International Races on December 14.
Hollie Doyle, Maxime Guyon and Dylan Browne McMonagle have also received short term licenses.
Doyle has been licensed for the period from November 5 up to December 23, Browne McMonagle from January 1 until March 29 and Guyon from November 30 up until March 1.
Joao Moreira’s return to Hong Kong has not been yet confirmed but Idol Horse reported earlier this week that he was set to fulfill a role as Caspar Fownes’ retained jockey.
