Another generation of the Conners family has joined the Sydney thoroughbred training ranks.

Mitchell Conners will team up with his father Marc in a training partnership from their long-established Warwick Farm base.

They will have their first runner as co-trainers at Hawkesbury on Thursday.

Mitchell is the grandson of veteran trainer Clarry Conners, recognised as an elite trainer of two-year-olds with four Golden Slipper triumphs to his name.

The Conners stable won’t be the only new partnership looking for instant success at Hawkesbury.

Mitch Beer and George Carpenter, who operate a stable out of Kembla Grange, will also be represented at Hawkesbury as co-trainers for the first time after their application was rubber-stamped by Racing NSW.
