A dedicated family-friendly area will be one of several new precincts created at Flemington for the 2025 Melbourne Cup carnival.
The green-space area will allow families to connect with famous racehorses in a bid to gain a deeper appreciation for the sport and the well-being of its heroes.
Branded as The Park, a Living Legends Homestead pop-up will be a key feature, offering guests a meet-and-greet with stars of the turf.
“We are always striving to elevate the race day experience and ensure guests feel they’re getting exceptional value,” VRC chief executive Kylie Rogers said.
“The new precinct design has been made to maximise the opportunity for all to experience and enjoy all that is on offer.”
World-class entertainment moves to the end of the Flemington straight in a reimagined social and entertainment precinct known as The Elms.
Major headline performers will take to the stage and racegoers can enjoy all the action for the price of a general admission entry ticket.
Fashion remains a significant drawcard and centre piece of the carnival, and this year, Fashions on the Field returns to its original location on the Club Lawn.
And for the first time in many years, the Flemington infield will be opened up to the public with the launch of the TAB Clubhouse.
It will offer an all-day food and beverage package and one of the most unique vantage points of the track - next to the winning post.
