New Zealand Bloodstock is New Zealand’s premier thoroughbred and standardbred auction house, connecting breeders, vendors, buyers, owners and racing participants through its world-renowned sales and bloodstock services. Based at the Karaka Sales Centre south of Auckland, NZB has been at the centre of New Zealand’s thoroughbred industry for more than a century.
Its flagship Karaka National Yearling Sales Series attracts buyers from across Australasia, Asia and other international markets. The 2026 edition marked the 100th National Yearling Sale, with more than $96 million returned to breeders and consignors across the combined sales and an average of $127,774.
NZB also conducts the Ready to Run Sale of Two-Year-Olds, National Weanling Sale, National Online Yearling Sale and Karaka Summer Sale, alongside its gavelhouse.com online platform and a range of services including finance, insurance, airfreight and buyer services.
