Godolphin winners have continued to flow under a new Australian training arrangement, with promising three-year-old Ohope saluting at Hawkesbury.
Having his first start for Michael Freedman, Ohope cleared maiden ranks in a first-up success at the NSW provincial track.
Ohope showed enough as a juvenile to earn a start in the VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes before finishing seventh to Vinrock.
And Ohope also has the pedigree to ensure the Hawkesbury victory won’t be the colt’s last as a son of I Am Invincible from the Kembla Grange Classic winner and Group 1-placed Medaglia d’Oro mare Pohutukawa.

Ohope sat behind the leader before jockey Tommy Berry kept his mount on an inside course to a 1-1/2 length victory over Zoustar colt Tuscany.
Freedman joins Chris Waller as well as the partnership of Tony and Calvin McEvoy as new trainers who have prepared winners for Godolphin since the start of the new season.
