Owners’ digital ticketing rolls out across Victorian racing

Victorian racehorse owners will enjoy a more streamlined and convenient raceday experience from this weekend with the official launch of phase two of the Owners Digital Ticketing Platform.

From Saturday, advanced interactive digital tickets will be available to owners with runners at every Victorian thoroughbred race meeting.

Under the expanded system, owners and their guests will be able to access all raceday privileges through a single digital ticket. Depending on the venue, this includes racecourse admission, access to members’ areas and mounting yards, entry to owners’ lounges, and complimentary food and beverage entitlements where available.

Owners with a runner will receive email and SMS notifications shortly after acceptances, advising that their tickets are available.

The statewide rollout follows a successful trial at selected Victorian race meetings during July.

RV Chief Operating Officer Vaughn Lynch said the initiative is designed to modernise and standardise the ticketing process for owners.

“The Owners Digital Ticketing Platform is an important initiative aimed at streamlining and standardising the ticket redemption process for Victorian racehorse owners,” Lynch said.

“Owners digital tickets aim to improve the raceday experience for owners, simplifying the process for accessing and sharing tickets and removing wait times for physical tickets on course.

TROA Chairman Jonathan Munz said the launch represented a significant milestone for Victorian owners after years of advocacy, delivering faster, easier and more convenient access to raceday entitlements across the state.
