Via Sistina has been accompanied on her trip to the Northern Hemisphere by three other highly credentialed Yulong-owned mares.

After her recent retirement, the champion mare left Australian soil last Wednesday on her way to a first-up mating with start stallion Dubawi.

Also on the flight were Magical Lagoon, Steinem and Atone.

Magical Lagoon won the 2022 Irish Oaks before campaigning in Australia for Chris Waller without success. She was initially unsuccessfully mated with Alabama Express to Northern Hemisphere time in March 2024 before missing to both Savabeel and Alabama Express the following spring.

She was not served last spring and heads back to the Northern Hemisphere.

Frankel mare Steinem was placed at Group 1 level and successful at Group 2 level during her career with Ciaron Maher. Purchased for $800,000 in 2024, she has failed to get in foal in her two breeding seasons to date.

Atone, a daughter of Oasis Dream and sister to multiple Group1 winner Midday, arrived in Australia to continue her breeding career in 2023. She has a two-year-old filly by Lucky Vega and a foal colt by Grunt.
