Racing Victoria deputy chair Sharon McCrohan will not seek reappointment when he term ends in September after joining the AFL’s executive team.
McCrohan has been announced as the executive general manager of corporate affairs for the AFL.
An experienced media and strategic communications consultant, McCrohan joined the Racing Victoria board in 2017.
She became deputy chair in June 2024.
McCrohan has been an advisor to federal and state government leaders and cabinets, private sector boards, national sporting bodies, statutory authorities, charities and government agencies.
A former journalist, McCrohan was director of strategy and communications for two Victorian Premiers before making the move into consulting.
Her role at the AFL will start in October.
