A three-year partnership between National Jockeys Trust and Racing WA will see the latter’s logo on the breeches of WA jockeys.
The deal will see Racing WA will make an annual donation to the NJT.
“The NJT provides essential support to jockeys and their families when injury or illness leads to financial hardship,” Racing WA Chief Racing Officer David Hunter said
“This partnership is one of the ways we can show our appreciation for the dedication and professionalism of WA jockeys and help ensure they’re supported both on and off the track.”
NJT Chief Executive Kerrie Wilkinson said the partnership with Racing WA would provide important funding for the NJT’s work.
“Having Racing WA’s logo displayed on riding gear is a great way to show the industry’s backing for our work.”
As part of the partnership, the Western Australian Jockey Association will receive a new supply of breeches for local jockeys.
