Former Tabcorp chief executive Adam Rytenskild has settled his unfair dismissal claim with the wagering giant.

Rytenskild had last year won the right through the Fair Work Commission to take his case to the Federal Court, with a hearing scheduled earlier this month.
But both sides have come to an agreement not to proceed any further and a brief statement was issued by his lawyers at Giles George on Thursday confirming the case had been settled.
“Mr Rytenskild has agreed to settle his proceedings with Tabcorp,” it read.
“This resolution allows him to move on to the next phase of his career. Mr Rytenskild is proud of his commitment to the transformation of Tabcorp.”
“No further comment will be made by him.”

It is not known what the terms are for the settlement, which comes over 18 months since Rytenskild was dismissed.
As part of the legal discovery process, Giles George had sought documents and communications between the Tabcorp board and key figures including Racing NSW CEO Peter V’landys and the man who would eventually replace him as Tabcorp CEO Gillon McLachlan.
It is not known if Tabcorp produced these or the other documents that the court ordered them prior to the settlement being reached.
Rytenskild was initially dismissed in March 2024, after accusations he made a lewd and sexually suggestive remark about a female regulator, something he has denied saying.
While Tabcorp had insisted he had resigned and been given time to get adequate employment law advice, the Fair Work Commission ruled last November that his departure amounted to a dismissal.
