SA trainer Travis Doudle to face Victorian hearing on swab charge
Racing Victoria stewards have charged Adelaide trainer Travis Doudle following an investigation into a positive swab result from a Mildura winner last season.
The charge relates to the detection of a prohibited substance in a post-race sample taken from Empirestateofmind after its victory on May 25.
Laboratory testing revealed the presence of Salicylic Acid at a concentration exceeding 750mg, a substance prohibited under List B of the Australian Rules of Racing.
Salicylic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic, anti-pyretic, and anti-thrombotic properties, confirmed in both the primary and reserve samples.
The charge against Doudle will be heard before the Victorian Racing Tribunal on a date to be determined.
