Scintillation highlights I Am Invincible quintet
Homebred Rosemont Stud filly Scintillation debuted with a stylish win at Gosford.
The daughter of I Am Invincible out of $1.8 million purchase Minhaaj was passed in for $600,000 when offered at last year’s Inglis Easter Yearling Sale and her breeder’s decision to retain her may pay dividends.
Stepping out for the first time for John O’Shea and Tom Charlton, she led all the way over the 1000m trip and her victory won’t do any harm to the value of her Zoustar half-sister who will be offered by Widden Stud at this year’s Easter sale in late March.
Scintillation was one of five winners for I Am Invincible on Wednesday.
One-time $1.3 million Inglis Easter yearling graduate Sister Cynane, now a four-year-old, broke her maiden at Te Aroha in New Zealand.
At Sale, three-year-old I Am Invincible filly First Fifteen proved too strong at her third start, sitting outside the leader and edging clear over the 1206m for trainer Ciaron Maher.
Out of Ra Ra Epic, a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Incentivise, she was a $500,000 Magic Millions purchase in 2024. Soon after at the same venue, stable mate and fellow three-year-old Tower Bridge, a $1.3 million Magic Millions graduate, claimed his second win from four starts.
At Doomben, the Chris Waller-trained Battuta, another I Am invincible three-year-old, broke his maiden at big odds at start eight.
