Stay Inside’s most expensive first-crop yearling will be among six juveniles by the Golden Slipper-winning stallion to step out at Sydney’s official two-year-old barrier trial session next week.

Incognito, the Stay Inside colt out of I Am Invincible mare Bleu Zebra who sold for $1 million at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in January, has been accepted in the last of nine heats scheduled for the Kensington track at Randwick on Monday.
Racing in the James Harron Bloodstock colts syndicate colours, worn previously by Golden Slipper winner Capitalist, the Michael Freedman-trained Incognito will be ridden by jockey Tommy Berry over 850 metres.

The Newgate Farm-based Stay Inside is the most represented of the eight first season sires to have two-year-olds nominated for the session, which is the major lead-up for the Group 3 Breeders Plate for the colts and geldings and the Group 3 Gimcrack for the fillies at Randwick on October 4.
Wild Ruler, a roster mate of Stay Inside, has three two-year-olds entered while Coolmore’s prized first-season sire Home Affairs, who was responsible for Australasia’s two highest-priced yearlings at $3.2 million and $3 million respectively in 2025, has a colt and a filly set to have hit outs.
Kia Ora’s own Golden Slipper winner Farnan, whose oldest crop are three-year-olds, leads the way in terms of numbers with seven two-year-olds nominated across the nine-trial card while its first season sire Captivant has one as does Coolmore’s St Mark’s Basilica and Acrobat.
Rosemont Stud’s Extreme Warrior and Corumbene’s sire Standout also have one two-year-old entered each.
Prominent agent Harron has Farnan colt Knightsbridge, a $750,000 Magic Millions buy, in heat five for trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott while he has $360,000 Capitalist filly Mayflower from the Freedman stable accepted for heat four.

Godolphin, which moved to a public training model at the start of the new season, has six two-year-olds set to show their wares.
Homebred Too Darn Hot colt Accompany, who is from the family of Godolphin’s promising three-year-old Tentyris, is on heat one for trainer Ciaron Maher and his Godolphin-owned stablemate and son of Snitzel in Threads, the first foal out of Group 3 winner Tailleur, is in heat three.
Street Boss filly Gwendling, who is out of a half-sister to Kementari and Telperion, is in heat two for Anthony and Sam Freedman while Godolphin’s stablemate, a daughter of Exceed And Excel in Semantics, will have a hit out in barrier trial six.
Trainer Gary Portelli will also take the covers off another Exceed And Excel filly in Handloom in the same heat for Godolphin while he will also trial Street Boss filly Tatiana, a daughter of Gimcrack Stakes winner Jorda, in heat eight.
Unsurprisingly, Waterhouse and Bott lead the way with 11 two-year-olds accepted for the trials while Bjorn Baker, who unveiled Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner O’Ole at the corresponding trial session last year, has eight two-year-olds entered.
While there is one extra barrier trial this year in comparison to the eight conducted in 2024, it appears that the Newgate Farm-China Horse Club colts partnership has taken a more conservative approach this season with their two-year-olds.
The high-profile group, which won two heats last year with Tuscany and subsequent Golden Gift and Kindergarten Stakes winner North England, doesn’t have a two-year-old accepted for the Kensington barrier trials.
The first barrier trial is set to jump at 9am.
