Valuable filly Beside The Ocean, a Zoustar half-sister to Golden Slipper-winning stallion Farnan, scored an important maiden city win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
The lightly raced three-year-old, who carries the Cunningham Thoroughbreds' colours of navy, gold sash, sleeves and cap, was a decisive winner over 1300m in heavy 10 conditions at just her second start.
Beside The Ocean, who had finished runner-up on debut on the Kensington track on July 16, put 3.85 lengths on runner-up Koibito with another 5.16 lengths back to Defendant in third.
By Australia's reigning champion sire Zoustar, Beside The Ocean was a $250,000 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale purchase by the Cunninghams, who race the filly under the Ridgmont Farm banner, and their bloodstock agent Jim Clarke in 2024.

The fifth winner from as many foals to race out of Group 3 winner Tallow, Beside The Ocean is also a half-sister to Kooringal Stud-based stakes-winning stallion Sandbar.
The filly was the second leg of a winning Warwick Farm treble for Waller, who also prepared Godolphin-owned three-year-old Burma Star to win the opening race and Kapakiri to take out the Benchmark 72 (1600m) later on the seven-race card.
