Canonbury Stakes placegetter Hillier seems certain to play a role in early-season three-year-old features after a resuming win at Newcastle on Tuesday.
The colt, having his first start since contesting the Group 3 Black Opal Stakes, climbed off the canvas to beat his older rivals in a 1200m Maiden race.
Ridden by Tom Sherry for Annabel and Rob Archibald, Hillier appeared to be labouring in the minor placings before producing a late surge to reel in the leader.
A son of 2024/2025 champion sire-in-waiting Zoustar, Hillier was a $500,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe Stud draft and he runs for group of prominent stable clients.
Brilliant to see the @SegenhoeGroup bred, raised & sold Hillier (Zoustar x Pretty In Pink) break through with a strong maiden victory @NewcastleRaces this afternoon.

Well done to all involved 💪🏇🏿💨 @kiaorastud @ANeashamRacing https://t.co/SqSxmGLIWY
Among them is Kia Ora Stud with Hillier racing in the nursery’s well-known colours.
Hillier is the second winner from stakes-winning Sebring mare Pretty In Pink, who hails from the family of dual Cox Plate hero Fields Of Omagh and Group I winner The Mitigator.
He is the 10th 2YO winner this season for Zoustar as the Widden Stud resident edges towards 200 winners for the Australian season.
