Nominations to three of New Zealand’s in demand stallions will be auctioned later this month to raise funds to support the long-running Sunline Trust International Management Scholarship.

The auctioning nominations to champion sire Proisir, Circus Maximus and Sword Of State will take place at New Zealand’s National Breeding Awards evening on July 26.

The Sunline Trust scholarship provides emerging New Zealand industry leaders with a unique nine-month international experience to help build their skills, knowledge and connections to prosper in the thoroughbred sector.

Past graduates of the Sunline Trust include Te Akau co-trainer Sam Bergerson, bloodstock agent Bevan Smith, Jamie Richards, Matt Scown and Bruce Slade.

New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association and a trustee of the Sunline Trust Nick Johnson is grateful for the support the organisation has received.

“The Sunline Scholarship has opened doors, broadened minds and built confidence in the leaders our industry needs,” Johnson said.

“To see the Proisir Syndicate and Rich Hill Stud, Windsor Park Stud, and Cambridge Stud stand behind this cause with their stallions shows the kind of vision and generosity that makes our industry special.

“We hope everyone will get behind the auction and help secure this opportunity for the next generation.”
