Promising three-year-old filly Steel Trap has been privately purchased and will now race in Yulong’s green colours and race under the eye of Tony and Calvin McEvoy.
The daughter of King’s Legacy won the Group 3 David Coles AM Stakes on Goodwood day for Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray in May.
She was previously placed in the Breeders’ Stakes and Cinderella Stakes and broke her maiden with an impressive win in February.
Her previous owners Angas River Contractors purchased Steel Trap for $30,000 at the Magic Millions Adelaide Sale.
She is a great granddaughter of Group 1 winner Arborea.
