TABtouch, Australia’s only state government-owned wagering agency, will extend its partnership with Perth Racing.
In a continuation of a commitment that has kicked in $850 million to Western Australia’s racing industry since 2019, TABtouch has signed on for another five years.
Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s chief wagering officer Mike Saunders said the new deal reaffirms TABtouch’s commitment to WA racing.
“As the brand that funds racing in WA, it makes perfect sense for TABtouch to be front and centre at Perth’s premier racing venues,” he said.
“This partnership builds on the $850 million we have contributed to supporting and investing in WA racing over the past five years.
“We’ve had some really innovative collaborations with Perth Racing over the last few years - particularly with The Quokka - and this renewal signifies our shared vision for an exciting future for racing in Perth.”
Perth Racing chief executive James Oldring said TABTouch’s unwavering commitment to racing in WA had resulted in continued fan engagement growth.
“Their robust business performance, investment in digital innovation and the financial benefit that their success brings to the sport were all key factors in making an extension of our partnership an easy decision,” he said.
TABtouch will play a vital partnership role in The Pinnacles, five days of racing in November and December that puts WA racing in the national spotlight.
The wagering firm is also the naming rights sponsor of the $1 million Perth Cup and has been instrumental in the emergence of the $5 million Quokka as a highly sought-after slot race.
TABtouch has been the principal sponsor of Perth Racing’s Ascot and Belmont Park racecourses for more than a decade.
