Ridden just behind the leaders by jockey Jamie Kah, the filly was able to get past a game Air Assault, and withstand a late charge from Warmonger to claim her maiden Group 1, and second win in black-type company.

She is the third Group 1 winner for The Autumn Sun, joining Autumn Angel and Vibrant Sun, with the trio all winning Classics this season.

On a day when trainer Tony Gollan announced a stable expansion to the Gold Coast, one of his stable stars, Antino, delivered a tenacious performance to take out the Group 2 Victory Stakes at Eagle Farm.
