Jockeys Michael Poy and Lewis German have been charged with corruption and betting offences following a long-running Racing Victoria investigation.
Stewards issued multiple charges on Friday against the riders over their involvement in Victorian races between April and August 2022.
"Since August 2022, RV stewards, with the assistance of RV's Betting Intelligence Unit, have conducted a comprehensive investigation, which has included interviewing numerous individuals and analysing a wide range of materials," an RV statement read.
Professional punter Noah Brash has also been charged along with registered owner Alysha Vass.
Poy and German are alleged to have ridden “in a manner to ensure that the bets would be successful" for Brash.
It also alleged Poy "approached and corruptly offered money to a rider (who is not the subject of any charges), to ride a horse, other than in accordance with the merits of the horse".
Poy is the son of former champion jockey Michael Clarke.
The 24-year-old has been riding in Western Australia but hasn’t been seen in the saddle since the WATC Derby meeting at Ascot on April 13.
German, 25, has also moved to WA where he last rode in a race in September.
