Te Akau Racing’s unbeaten three-year-old Return To Conquer is an early spring casualty.
The valuable Snitzel colt suffered a minor injury during a recent Victorian jumpout ahead of spring campaign that had the Coolmore Stud Stakes as a primary target.
Return To Conquer is eligible for the Magic Millions series of races but it is unlikely he will be seen again until the autumn, when he will chase an Australian Group 1 success.
In four starts as a juvenile, Return To Conquer had an unblemished record for co-trainers Mark Walker and Sam Bergerson.
A highlight of that introduction to racing came in the Group 1 Sistema Stakes at Ellerslie in March when ridden by leading Australian jockey Blake Shinn.
